Only 2 figures were released in the 1996/97 kit, those 2 being the litle samba star Juninho and the Italian 'silver fox' Ravanelli.

 The Juninho figure was a mere repaint of the previously released figure, with the kit varying only slightly, the shirt had no trim on the sleeve and had just a single red stripe on the shorts.

 The Ravanelli figure was an entirely new figure and the first time this player was released. A really fine sculpt with a very distinctive hair style. This was the same Ravanelli sculpt used for the Italian national range of figures, released about a year later.
