Rob Maida:

1. When did you start collecting?

I started collecting some time near 2000. There was a stall in the town centre that sold Corinthians and i used to go down there most weeks.

 2. Why did you start collecting?

Well i was very young and i used to play with the figures on a subbuteo pitch, using them as toys. These figures were not in great condition and they are not in my collection anymore.

  3. Which was the very first figure you purchased?

The first figure I actually remember having was Robbie Fowler Series 4 with the white strip on his nose. I am sure I had figures before that but it is the first one I remember.

  4. What is your all time favourite Corinthian figure?

Has to be the Junichi Inamoto XL, very few players and teams were fortunate to have an XL made and I was lucky enough to have a Fulham XL made. Infact, if it was not for Inamoto there is little chance there would have been any Fulham figures at all.

  5. What is the most you have ever paid for a single figure and which figure was it?

Pierluigi Colina World Greats for just under £100 about 6 years ago for christmas. I only recently took it out of its box to have on display.

  6. What is the best bargain you have ever picked up?

I got a Robbie Fowler Leeds Microstar Official Repaint for £17.50 on ebay, I dont think there were any others bids for it either. Ive also got a few teampacks very cheap as well.

  7. Which figure did you most struggle to acquire?

Jean Tigana France World Great, had to pay over the odds but it was worth it.

  8. How many figures do you have in your collection?

I would say i have got at least 1000 prostars and 1500 microstars.

  9. If Corinthian did decide to make some more figures, which player would you most like to see made?

I would like to see players from all Premier League clubs just like headliners, but if I had to pick just one it would be Roy Hodgson.

10. Do you have any comments you wish to make about my site?

Your site is great and I'll look forward to more updates. Keep up the great work.

Below is a slideshow which showcases my Corinthian football figure collection, hope you enjoy looking at them as much as i do.

Thanks

 Rob
