Gareth Smith:

 1. When did you start collecting?

I started collecting in 1995 when the England Euro 96 figures were realesed.

 2. Why did you start collecting?

I just took one look at these little figures and instantly fell in love with them. Having already loved football these were perfect for me to start a collection, being only young at the time it was great because they were not very expensive.

  3. Which was the very first figure you purchased?

Well the very first figure i obtained was not directly purchased, i bought a shoot magazine which was giving away a free Corinthian football figure, which was Darren Anderton in the England Euro 96 kit. So he was my first figure i ever owned.

  4. What is your all time favourite Corinthian figure?

My all time favourite figure would have to be Marcus Stewart Iin the Ipswich Town home kit. There are a couple of reasons for this, one is that i am a mad Ipswich Town fan and the other is that he is the only outfield player to be sculpted wearing gloves, apart from goalkeepers.

 5. What is the most you have ever paid for a single figure and which figure was it?

I have bought alot of figures but i do tend to try and trade figures if i can, but 1 purchase what springs to mind that i can remember was that i paid £44 for FAPL Andrea Silenzi Nottingham Forest Blister. Wether that was too much i don't know but i really wanted him at the time, so to me it was worth it.

 6. What is the best bargain you have ever picked up?

Ok the best trade bargain that i picked up was FAPL Gary Penrice OPR Blister in a swap deal for a really rather ordinary figure that the guy wantedm so i snapped his hand of at it, i can't remember the figure i sent him but it wasn't great. The biggest bargain for a purchase i made was a job lot of Corinthians being sold on ebay for £10 which included 10 early Prostar release Platinums and some rare redemptions. As i didn't know what i was getting i had a massive grin on my face when i opened the box and saw those. There was bout 70 figures in total that i can remember.

 7. Which figure did you most struggle to acquire?

To be honest every figure that i do not have.

 8. How many figures do you have in your collection?

I haven't counted lately but i would say 1000+. It may be 2000?

 9. If Corinthian did decide to make some more figures, which player would you most like to see made?

Maybe not just footballers, as much as i love football, but i think there would be a market for other sports figures, like Golf (Tiger woods) or Tennis (Andy Murray, Roger Federer or Rafa Nadal). But what i would really like to see is more F1 figures like Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button would be really good as i really love F1.

 10. Do you have any comments you wish to make about my site?

I think the site is great Craig. It's good for interaction and you can get the information you need as a genuine collector. I will be sure to let you know if i find anything that needs improving or any better ideas for the site.

Great job Craig, keep it up.
