Corinthian introduced the Collector Club Special Edition range and gave collectors an added incentive to join the collector's club. Corinthian had these figures priced at £10 for non members and £5 for members, this incentive to join the collecotr club paid off for Coritnhian, as they many more collectors join the club.
The range consits of a total of 32 figures, with over half being in away kit. The figures were released in set intervals, with 2 figures being released a month, starting in Ferbuary 2003 and concluding in May 2004. Each figure was released as a single blister pack and came accompanied with an individually numbered collector card. Corinthian also produced Platinum packs for all figures in the range.
February 2003 saw the first figures released as part of the ProStars Collector Club Special Edition series, with Junichi Inamoto for Fulham and El Hadji Diouf for Liverpool, both in away kit, both proved very popular, as did most in the range. March's release was Gianluca Zambrotta in Juventus away kit and Edu in Arsenal away strip. Nwankwo Kanu in Arsenal away kit and Genaro Gattuso in AC Milan away kit made up the release for April.
May saw Francesco Coco in Inter Milan away kit and Olof Melberg in his Sweden national strip released, with Mjallby being the first national kit figure released in the range. Both sides of North London were represented in June's release as Liam Brady for Arsenal and Glenn Hoddle for Tottenham Hotspur were both released in away kit. July's release came from Italian club Sampdoria, with Graeme Souness in home kit and Ruud Gullit in away kit. A return visit to North London was made for the August release, with Kazauki Toda being the Tottenham Hotspur figure and Francis Jeffers chosen for Arsenal, both relased in away kit.
2 England national players made up September's release, with Wayne Rooney in away kit and Jermaine Jenas in home kit. Octobor's 2 figures were Kevin Keegan in Liverpool away kit and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in West Germany home kit. The legend theme was continued for the November release, with Michel Platini and Zbigniew Boniek coming out in France and Poland home kit respetively. The December selection was another release of national kits, Salif Diao in the colourful home kit of Senegal, and Johan Mjallby in Sweden home kit.
2004 saw another 10 figures released as part of the Corinthian ProStars Collector Club Special Edition range, again being released 2 a month. The 2 released in January were Pavel Nedved in the home strip of Czech Republic, a very popular figure this one, and Belozoglu Emre in Turkey home kit. February saw a return to the Premiership, with Barry Ferguson coming out in his Blackburn Rovers home kit, joined by Robbie Fowler in Manchester City home kit. March saw 2 away kit national figures, with Thierry Henry for France and Filippo Inzaghi for Italy.
April's release was made up of John-Dahl Tomasson in Denmark away kit, joined by Cristiano Ronaldo in the away kit of Portugal. The final 2 figures in this range were released in May 2004, those being Rivelinho in Brazil away kit and Gerd Muller in his West Germany away kit.
A very collectible series of figures given some of the low production volumes used in the range, with the likes of Nedved, Ronaldo, Platini, Inamoto being amongst the most sought after, especially in Platinum blister pack.
